Carysfort National School Parents Association Fundraising information
On Friday 18th October we held our annual Cake Sale/Díolachán Cístí. It was a great success. Well done to the children and parents who baked stunning and delicious cakes and treats. A big thank you to the Parents Association who organised and managed such a fantastic day. Well done to the 6th Class children who sold the cakes through Irish, and the great effort to use frasaí Gaeilge from all classes.
Last week we had our annual Walkathon which was a huge success as usual. The children enjoyed walking along their routes and engaging in activities such as yoga, tug-of-war, photobooth, bubbles and obstacle courses. We ended the event with a fantastic treat: Ice-cream! A massive thank you to the Parents’ Association who organised the event and to the many parents who volunteered making the Walkathon possible. It is always a highlight for the children and staff.

Ms. Costelloe had a very busy day today as our principal. Mrs. Linehan became a student for the day, which as a lovely treat. She even wore the school uniform!
She started the day with an assembly on Zoom with all the classes. She warned us to behave on yard, shared some lovely poems about kindness and answered questions from the students.
Ms. Costelloe then went on classroom visits and enjoyed her breaks in the staffroom with the teachers. She also kept an eye on things on yard duty and during PE. She did multiple announcements throughout the day, the best of which was that there would be no homework tonight!

Well done to Luke who acted as our Principal and Cian as Deputy Principal for the day today. They had a busy day overseeing sports day, making announcements and doing assemblies. Mrs. Linehan was delighted to have a day off. 
Last week we had our annual Walkathon to raise money for our school garden. A huge thank you to all the parents who got involved on the day. It was a fantastic event as usual.
