Green Schools Committee
At Carysfort N.S., we are very proud of our long-standing commitment to sustainability and environmental care. Our Green Schools Committee, made up of pupils and staff, works together to promote environmental awareness and good habits across our school community.
We are delighted to have achieved six Green Flags, each representing a different area of environmental responsibility:
-
Litter and Waste – reducing, reusing, and recycling in our school.
-
Energy – saving energy and using resources wisely.
-
Water – conserving water and preventing waste.
-
Travel – encouraging safe and sustainable ways of getting to school.
-
Biodiversity – protecting wildlife and planting to support nature.
-
Global Citizenship – Litter & Waste – linking our actions to the wider world.
Through regular meetings, initiatives, and whole-school projects, the Green Schools Committee helps everyone in Carysfort N.S. play their part in looking after our environment—both locally and globally.
