Cycle Right at Carysfort N.S.
Cycle Right is Ireland’s National Standard for Cycle Training, designed to give children the practical skills and knowledge they need to become safe, competent, and confident cyclists.
It is an inclusive programme that teaches essential cycle safety and road awareness in a supportive and practical way. The programme is produced and supported by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, the Road Safety Authority, and Cycling Ireland, with input from local agencies and community groups.
At Carysfort N.S., all pupils take part in the Cycle Right training programme in 6th Class, giving them an important foundation in safe cycling for life
These opportunities encourage teamwork, fitness, and a love of sport that children can carry with them throughout their lives. At Carysfort, we believe in providing something for everyone — whether a child is discovering a new activity for the first time or developing their talents further.
