Carysfort National School News

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are delighted to announce that we are rolling out the Aladdin ePayment system to parents/guardians of children in our school.

Our school uses the Aladdin software service for administrative purposes and the ePayment system will give you access from an internet browser on your computer, phone or tablet to make secure payments to the school using your credit or debit card. The purpose of the ePayment system is to facilitate the easier payment of school money collections for parent/guardians and to reduce the amount of cash and cheques being sent into our school in line with recent Central Bank directives.

Aladdin uses state of the art security to safeguard information entered by you and the school and data is stored and processed in strict compliance with Irish data protection laws and meets the latest GDPR guidelines of 25th May 2018.

Going forward, when money is due for any school activity that is relevant to your children, you will receive an email message containing your payment access link. Please do not forward this email or share this access link as this link is unique for your family only. The link will bring you to a parent payment page which will contain all payments requested for all siblings in a family. There is only one link per family ensuring you have the option to pay all amounts due for all your children in one transaction. Once you have completed your payment, you will be issued with a reference number. You will also receive an email receipt which will contain details of the transaction and reference number. Please quote this reference number in any queries you may have as regards this payment with the school.

We are happy to continue receiving payments in cash or by cheque until the end of this school year, 29th June 2018.

We hope that you will find the Aladdin ePayments facility useful and that it is a very successful system for all.

Le gach dea-mhéin,

Carysfort National School

September 2009 – June 2017

It was with great shock and sadness that we learned of the sudden and unexpected death of our beloved student Callum on July 2nd 2017, just a few weeks before his 13th birthday.

Callum graduated from Carysfort N.S. on June 23rd. As he departed primary school we looked on proudly at an intelligent , handsome and kind young man who was destined for great things…….

Callum loved sport especially soccer and gaelic football. His favourite subject in school was P.E. and his most precious school memories were when his school gaelic team won the league cup and he won a medal at Santry Athletics. Like so many boys his age Callum wanted to be a footballer when he grew up. He was an avid Liverpool supporter whose favourite book was Steven Gerrard’s autobiography and his favourite song was You’ll Never Walk Alone.

In the class of 2017 Yearbook Callum wrote that his wish for the future was to jump out of a plane…. As we look to the skies we are confident that you are f lying high above us all.

Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.

Forever in our hearts,
The staff of Carysfort N.S.

In October 2016 The Department  of Education & Skills, as part of its ongoing, nationwide appraisal of primary & post-primary schools conducted a Whole School Evaluation (WSE) of Carysfort NS. Click here to view the report.

The Board of Management  are delighted with this very positive WSE report and wishes to thank all of the partners involved in making Carysfort National School a caring, happy and high quality learning environment. The Board recognises and appreciates the ongoing dedication of the staff and their superb commitment to all pupils in their care. The Board wishes also to commend the parents’ association committee and all parents for their continued valuable support and ongoing work in the development of the school.
