During the last week in January, we celebrated Multicultural Week here in Carysfort. The aim of the week was to teach the children about different cultures and traditions that exist in different regions or settings. This included culture based on countries, as well as other communities such as school culture, pop culture, sports culture etc.

The week was filled with fun activities. Each class attended an Art Workshop with Michael Cleary where they made fabulous pieces (now displayed in the hall). We ran a Question of the Day competition with a different winner each day. We had parents come in to speak to classes, some children wrote poems, some made traditional foods and wore traditional clothing, and many made projects. It was a wonderful experience for all involved, and many classes are continuing their learning into February and beyond.
