Easter Chicks

Ms Scanlon and Ms Sweeney each had 10 eggs incubated in their rooms.
They ‘candled’ the eggs to see which ones had chicks growing inside. The white part down the bottom of the egg is the air sac, this is where the chick pips the shell (makes a hole with its beak) and then begins to hatch from there. The red lines are part of the blood supply and the dark part is the chick.
