Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please read the Carysfort National School Road Safety Charter (click here for PDF). We appreciate your cooperation with this charter to ensure the safety of all our students and families. To date ‘Walk on Wednesday’ has been a great success so we encourage you to continue walking, cycling, scooting or parking and striding to school through the winter months in particular on Wednesdays.
I remind you also that the supervision of your child on the school grounds before 8.50 a.m. is the responsibility of each parent. Running / chasing games and ball games are not permitted at this time under health and safety due to the large number of parents, students and siblings present on the school grounds. Please be mindful that many students are nervous of dogs so please remain them on the periphery of the school yard at drop-off and pick-up times.
Please ensure that all minders are given a copy of the road safety charter and are aware of their responsibility before 8.50 a.m.
