Minibeast Hunt

The children in first class went on a minibeast hunt to Carysfort Park. We spent some time learning the names of minibeasts, what they look like and about their habitats. On our minibeast hunt, we searched on trees and leaves, under logs, in leaf piles, under rocks and in the soil. We found ladybirds, ants, worms, woodlice, spiders and centipedes. We used plastic containers to collect them and magnifying glasses to look at them more closely. It was great fun and we loved learning all about minibeasts.
